Biography of Stephan El Shaarawy

Stephan El Shaarawy started his junior career with Legino, then moved to the junior Genoa team. He became the fourth youngest player ever to play in Italy's highest caste after playing 10 minutes with Genoa in 2008 at the age of 16. After penetrating the senior team of Genoa, in 2010-11, El Shaarawy then loaned to Serie B club, Padova.

In Padova, Stephan El Shaarawy started playing brilliantly. He brought unfavored Padova up to the promotion playoffs before beating Novara. El Sharaawy was voted the Best Player of the Year Serie B of the season. His brilliant performance invited Italian giants AC Milan to sign him in 2011.

He is only a reserve of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alexander Pato, Robinho, or Antonio Cassano. But when the main striker AC Milan hit by injury, El Shaarawy who was given the trust able to show maximum contribution. His first season, El Shaarawy scored 5 goals. Not too bad for a 19-year-old player who plays in a club of AC Milan.

Beginning of the 2012-2013 season, Milan off Ibrahimovic, Cassano and defender Thiago Silva as well as some senior players. This makes Milan a crisis. Performance Milan slipped sharply in the league and was thrown out of the top 10. However El Shaarawy still shows its consistency. When Pato and Robinho were injured, he was able to score 8 goals from 10 games early. His collection of goals continues to grow each week. He also became one of the strong candidates for Italian League top scorer this 2012/2013 season.

Performance is the subject of conversation throughout Europe as one of the youngster who is predicted to be a great player in the future. El Shaarawy also became AC Milan's youngest goalscorer in the Champions League in history after scoring against goal Zenit with a 3-2 win.

But his career had declined. Prolonged injuries make him rarely play. He was loaned to AS Monaco. Starting in 2016 he also played with AS Roma. Together with Roma, El Shaarawy began to find his best performance again by scoring 8 goals from 16 games in the remaining half-season with AS Roma in Serie A Italian League.

El Shaarawy was also entrusted with his debut with Italian national team coach Cesare Prandelli in August 2012 against England. Previously, El Shaarawy participated with the U-17 Italy Under-21 Euro Cup 2009 and also the U-21 World Cup 2009. El Shaarawy is part of the Azzuri squad in the 2016 Confederations Cup and 2016 European Cup.
