Biograpy Mkhitaryan

Armenian born footballer January 21, 1989 is from a family that is not far from the field of sports. Originating in the Armenian capital of Yerevan, the full-name Henrikh Hamleti Mkhitaryan was born to Marina Taschian and Hamlet Mkhitaryan.

His father is also a footballer who plays for Ararat Yerevan in the Armenian league. His mother worked as the head of the national team department at the Armenian Football Federation and his elder brother worked at UEFA headquarters.

Henrikh greatly admired his father and always wanted to be like him. Unfortunately, Henrikh's father died at a relatively young age of 33 years, due to a brain tumor.

Henrikh, who was then 7 years old, was determined to continue his father's profession. In 1995, Henrikh joined his first club in Ukraine, Pyunik FC. Joined in the youth team, Henrikh has earned a salary at the age of 15 years.

2 Years later, when he was 17 years old he was called into the main squad Pyunik FC. In Pyunik FC, Henrikh's game is brilliant. For 3 years defending Pyunik FC, Henrikh is often called by the name of Heno is successfully dedicate a lot of titles.

4 Armenian Premier League titles, 2 Armenian Supercup trophies, and 1 Armenian Cup are proof that Henrikh is an outstanding player. Henrikh played in 89 games of Pyunik FC and scored 35 goals.

In 2009, due to his success Henrikh then moved to the Ukrainian league and joined Metalurh Donetsk. Throughout the 2009-2010 season, Henrikh scored 14 goals from 38 matches. Henrikh missed the full 2010-2011 season with Metalurh because in the mid-season transfer window, Henrikh was signed by fellow Ukrainian league team Shahktar Donetsk.

Henrikh scored his first goal for Shakhtar in a 4-1 home win against Tavriya Simferopol in the Ukrainian Premier League. Henrikh's first season at Shakhtar can be considered quite successful because in that season Shakhtar won the treble with the title of Ukrainian Premier League, the Ukrainian Cup, and the Ukrainian Super Cup.

The next season is also no less successful for Henrikh. Shakhtar successfully defended the title of Ukrainian Premier League and the Ukrainian Cup. In the Ukrainian Cup, Henrikh played while Shakhtar beat his former club Metalurh Donetsk in the final game. In that season Henrikh also crowned as the best player Shakhtar.

In the 2012-2013 season, Henrikh recorded his 100th appearance in the Primary League of Ukraine on March 16, 2013. Henrikh scored 38 goals from 72 appearances with Shakhtar.

In the transfer window ahead of the new 2013-2014 season, German club Borussia Dortmund officially signed Henrikh for 5 years. The player who often operates behind the striker broke Dortmund's most expensive transfer record of 25 million Euros.

Due to his high playing technique, accurate passes, excellent ball controls, and measured kick made him praised by Chelsea legend Pat Nevin in 2012 as a player similar to Frank Lamprad and should be kept full on the pitch.

The player who received Micki's call in Dortmund has been awarded "Honorary Citizen of Yerevan" for his dedication to the sport. Henrikh became an important part of the Armenian national team until now after undergoing his debut in 2007. Despite failing to qualify Armenia for Euro 2012, Henrikh made it into the Qualification Dream Team for his 6 goals.
